What Noise Reduction Can I Expect from UCoustic Wood Quiet Rackmount Cabinets?
Comparing Manufacturers' claims for noise reduction can be very misleading because of widely differing test methods.
Also, enclosures with similar decibel noise-reduction ratings may sound very different to the human ear, as some acoustic racks dampen the more noticeable noise frequencies better than others.

UCoustic™ 9210 Premium Wood Range of 19" Soundproof Rackmount Cabinets
Models: 12U, 24U, 42U in both Passive and Active
This latest addition to the UCoustic range adds the stunning quality of real wood veneer to the noise reduction and air cooled thermal performance of Passive and Active UCoustic. So for situations where only luxurious wood will do you can have a stunning finish without compromising on functionality.
The 9210 range is a viable alternative to a costly dedicated comms room, by allowing the deployment of servers and network equipment directly in the office environment. This range of quiet rack cabinets will reduce equipment noise to a level below that of background noise in an average office without talking, whilst providing a thermal load capacity of up to 7.2 kW (equivalent to 37 single processor servers and peripherals).
Also, the spacious internal dimensions provide ample room for orderly cable routing throughout the 9210 cabinet, with varied cable entry options to the bottom of the enclosure.
Oak or Maple are the normal real wood finishes but virtually any wood type is available (at additional cost). The standard format is the simplicity of wooden door contrasting by the elegant dark grey finish. Both wood tops and sides are available for a small additional charge (see images below). Please note that the UCoustic Premium Wood is a fire enclosure (unlike some alternatives) unless the wood sides option is taken.
The inclusion of a washable dust-filter, promoting extended equipment life-span and reduced maintenance costs, is optional throughout the 9210 range.
