Sound Proofing Materials
About AcoustiPack
We believe that AcoustiPack soundproofing materials
are the most effective on the market. AcoustiPack
materials are not the cheapest perhaps, but we have confidence they
are the highest quality and most effective
available! The dual-density composition creates a low reflection
surface and the high density 'plastic' acoustic barrier layer offers
excellent sound energy attenuation - this combination is more effective
than single layer soundproofing materials.

Soundproofing materials pre-shaped for the
following 'quiet' computer cases:

The AcoustiPack composite material is dense but still flexible,
and comes with a self-adhesive backing. Where necessary, it can
be easily cut and shaped. Both 'generic' and pre-cut soundproofing
kits come with comprehensive fitting recommendations. Unlike other
noise reduction materials available, the self-adhesive backing allows
the installer to peel the soundproofing materials off and try fitting
them again if they make a mistake first time round (who doesn't?)!
The acoustic materials, including the adhesives, have been carefully
selected and thoroughly tested to meet stringent flammability standards.
In this respect they also lead the market in quality. For more detailed
information about our soundproofing materials please see
this page on Acoustic Materials.
For server noise problems we can offer bespoke solutions, or the

Reviews & Feedback
Dr Michael Surov, Acoustic Engineer at Silentium
has tested various thicknesses of dual-layer AcoustiPack soundproofing
materials in the laboratory. His response was;
"These are superior quality materials - and I have found them to be very
effective - particularly for attenuating transmission sound energy and for absorbing
noises above 1kHz. The quality of the grey acoustic foam and dense barrier combination
is very high, and in combination with a steel substrate the materials are acoustically
very effective for computer and server noise reduction."

Mike Chin editor of Silent PC Review compares the
performance of AcoustiPack soundproofing kits against three other brands of damping
materials, Pax.mate by Akasa, ProStudio by CoolerMaster and
Wispermat by Muffled Computing.
"There is little question that acoustic damping can
help reduce noise."
"Many PC silencers are of the opinion that using the
quietest components and reducing the noise of components at
their source makes damping materials unnecessary. This was
generally my point of view, too. My perspective has been changed
with exposure to the product under review [AcoustiPack]."
