Vibration Reduction Products
We have developed several innovative anti-vibration products, both
for components like power supplies, HDDs and cooling fans, and for PC
and server cases themselves. Unwanted noise can be generated from vibrating
internal components, and a PC itself. Vibration in a particular component
(like a cooling fan for example), will often be transmitted to another
component or into the chassis or case sides. A PC or HiFi unit can transfer
vibrational energy into the floor or shelf on which it sits which can
generate a low frequency background noise or 'hum'.
To date we have designed and manufactured the following solutions
to help isolate vibration in components and in cases: silicone fan
gaskets, and various soft fan mounts. We have also designed AcoustiFeet™
- a unique set of soft silicone feet which absorb
vibrational energy and minimise noise generation caused by vibrations.
