This close up of the Acoustic Composite material shows the semi-open cellular foam upper layer and the very dense acoustic barrier mass lower layer.

The resulting material has a low-reflection and high-absorption acoustic performance. These properties make the material ideal for lining the inside of computer cases, where internal reflection of noise can be minimised and dampened before it is allowed to escape via any air vents or similar openings.

A more economic but still highly effective soundproofing solution, the AcoustiPack Standard contains 3 generous-sized sheets of 7mm acoustic composite material.
The Standard product is specifically appropriate for smaller desktop and tower cases where thinner acoustic material is required and internal space is restricted. The upper foam layer can be compressed down to approx. 1mm if necessary, making the overall product compressible down to approx. 3mm in thickness.
When cut and positioned, the material in the Standard pack will easily cover the inside of the vast majority of tower and desktop cases, and greatly help towards a quieter computing experience.
A computer case can be fitted from start to finish within about 30-45 minutes depending on complexity.

review the AcoustiPack Standard...
"The final question, how did it perform?
I thought this matting was great, before I could hear the
computer from the other end of the corridor upstairs which
is about 8m away. Since installing the matting, I can only
hear the computer if I am sitting right next to it... I must
say that the only other problem I thought I was going to have
was that having a highly overclocked CPU, that my case temperature
rocketed but I was quite surprised when it had only risen
by 1-2°C at most. My CPU temperatures weren't affected
at all and the case temperatures went from about 27°C
to about 29-31°C depending on what I was running."

Standard
"Once the AcoustiPack is installed, the difference in noise is easily noticeable. The AcoustiPack’s greatest benefit may be that it helps reduces the sound emitted from your case to barely audible levels. You may finally be able to think and sleep with your PC on again!
The AcoustiPack effectively reduced my system noise 4-fold. It’s quite an achievement...
Once again, the engineers at AcoustiProducts have succeeded
in creating another great product to reduce the noise of your
obnoxious PC. The AcoustiProducts AcoustiPack offers
a method of quieting your loud PC without buying expensive
silent components. The AcoustiPack offers a relatively
inexpensive method of quieting your PC, while still keeping
performance in mind."

'Silence Your PC' review the AcoustiPack Standard
"... there certainly is a noticeable reduction in the
noise ... immediately we all noticed the squeak from the harddrive
had almost gone. Open the side of the case, yep the squeaks
still there, shut the side, and the squeak is now almost inaudible
… the AcoustiPack proved itself. Given the low price
of a standard pack (available from QuietPC.com), it's certainly
much cheaper than buying a new quiet cpu cooler and hard disk."

"I
think I have enough sound proofing foam to coat my entire
study (was very impressed with the amount in each pack - I
ordered 3 packs thinking I would need it for such a large
case)." Morgan - Norway
"The AcoustiPack certainly made a difference to the case I tried it on, and it is much easier to work with than the automotive sound deadening [materials] I have tried before!" Nick - Nottingham, UK
"The kit was very easy to fit... The entire installation took only about half an hour and did not involve the removal of any of the internal components of the computer. The results were quite astounding: the noise from the machine is now no more than a low hum." Graham - Birmingham, UK
"Good product, works, easy to install, nice adhesive-backing. Sounds a lot quieter." Wesley, UK
"I installed AcoustiPack Standard in an Antec SLK 3700 BQE case... The system is very quiet and I am very satisfied with the results... It was easy to cut and easy to apply." Michael, USA
